VIDEO: Fast Food Forward Workers Surround Domino’s in Brooklyn Following Wrongful Termination

submit to reddit

After parking my car this early afternoon I encountered dozens of Fast Food Forward-affiliated protestors preparing to take action against a Domino’s Pizza on Graham Avenue in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Activists explained that an employee named “Gregory” had been wrongfully terminated and that the group planned to shut the Domino’s down in order to get Gregory his job back.

Shortly after this video was taken, police showed up and removed protestors from the store which is quite small as it is a walk-up window without seating.

The protestors held anti-wage theft signs. They chanted “I heard, I saw, what you did was against the law” and “the workers, united, will never be defeated.”

Once the police arrived, chants of “we’ll be back” rang out as drivers honked and onlookers peered out of their apartment building windows.

The police were civil and seemed to ask protestors what the nature of the protest was.

The hashtag affiliated with Fast Food Forward is #fastfoodfwd.
