Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert recently addressed the not-so-super-sized minimum wage using McDonald’s’ now infamous Sample Budget — which suggests a 70-hour work week to make ends meet — as the backdrop.

In true Colbert fashion, serious matters are addressed satirically. At one point, Colbert paraphrases Bill O’Reilly saying, “It doesn’t matter how little you are paid. If you’re poor, it’s your fault.”
