For the first time in its history, the Women Build Nations Conference will be hosted outside of California, allowing more Midwestern tradeswomen an opportunity to attend.  The conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare Hotel and Conference Center in Rosemont, Illinois beginning April 29th.

The sixth annual conference will be co-sponsored by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and Chicago Women in Trades. It will feature an array of events aimed at developing the network and skills of U.S. tradeswomen.

Speaking to the Labor Tribune, the President of Missouri Women in Trades, Beth Barton, said:

“I’m thrilled that this year’s conference will be so close to home.  It’s a very pro-union event that offers an amazing variety of workshops and the opportunity to network with some of the most influential women around.”

Co-sponsor Chicago Women in the Trades will be hosting a series of events leading up to the conference, including free training programs and opportunities for women to speak to local union representatives about their career options.

A full list of events surrounding the Women Build Nations Conference is available on the Chicago Women in Trades website.
