IBEW Members are Working in Afghanistan to Wire the War Zone
Union members have long displayed an allegiance to United States military servicemen and women, frequently donning American Flag stickers and other forms of Army, Navy and Marine support on their clothing and equipment. Some members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) are sent to Afghanistan to share their special skills and “wire the war zone,” making the allegiance not only philosophical but tangible on the ground. The video below captures some emotional stories of grown men working along side younger soldiers under constant attack with limited resources, two harsh realities of war.
