Former Four-Term Tennessee Congressman Files Voter Suppression Class Action Lawsuit on Behalf of 70,000 People
Lincoln Davis, a former four-term Congressman from Tennessee, went to vote in the 2012 primaries only to find out he had been illegally purged from the voter records. Despite having his proper ID, mandated by newfangled “Voter ID” laws — we refer to them affectionately as Voter Suppression laws — he was not given the opportunity to cast a provisional ballot.
A patriot and long-time public servant was denied the basic rights granted a US citizen. So, he filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of himself and the 70,000 other affected voters. The video below tells his story.
