Colorado “Right-to-Work” Is Dead on Arrival

Sources from the Colorado AFL-CIO have confirmed that Colorado Senate Bill 100 (Right to Work) has died in the Senate Business, Labor and Technology Committee.

SB 100 was sponsored by Tea Party State Senator Tim Neville.

Colorado voters previously defeated “Right-to-Work” in its 2008 form, Amendment 47. This round of “Right-to-Work” push was led by an adviser to the Independence Institute, Jeff Crank from Americans for Prosperity, The National Right to Work Committee, the Associated Builders & Contractors and Tony Gagliardi from the NFIB. The Colorado AFL-CIO alleges that “not one real worker or real business owner showed-up to back these extremists and it made them look pathetic.”

The bill died in a 4-2 vote.

  3. Every economist will tell me what? Go read real rcreaseh and reports on this by nonpartisan groups. Deregulation was just as much at fault as pushing higher quotas for CRA. This wa a perfect storm. It couldnt have gotten as big as it was if either side was being responsible.I actually have facts on my side on this one. You have your opinion and prejudice. Open you eyes and your mind and admit that your side is sometimes wrong too and just becuase there are people unlike you out there, doesn’t mean they are responsible for all the worlds ills. We have learned important lessons against scapegoating. If you havent been reading some off the wall report by independent sources, then were are you getting your facts . You arent talking facts, you are talking half truths. Look for the article ACORN and You and at the bottom I have listed sources for the cause of the housing meltdown. Where do you get your news if you do not mind my asking? Do you rely completely on FOX and other conservative outlets? because other conservatives I know are well up on this subject and know the blame lays on both sides.
