CWA Releases Hilarious Parody Video Taking Shots at Verizon for Bargaining in Bad Faith

Members of the Communications Workers of America were none too pleased when they recently received what the union is calling a “propoganda video” explaining to the membership why they should give in to Verizon’s contract demands.

Verizon agreed to bargain in good faith when their 45,000 unionized CWA and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) members agreed to end a strike last summer. But the video — it’s boring and condescending, watch parts of it here — doesn’t seem like good faith bargaining whatsoever. Laura Clawson of DailyKos sums it up well:

The video details company demands such as concessions on health care and the expectation that workers learn to do multiple jobs, with sales reps handling some tech functions and tech support workers handling some sales.

So, in fit of shrewd, new media marketing, CWA put out a parody of the video that features a quite funny “CEO of Everything,” Nancy Hasenfeff, taking the air out of Verizon’s 1% sails.

Hasenfeff wants to preserve the minion class…I mean the middle class…and you should, too.
